You may strategically place your wonderful lips upon my posterior… and kiss it repeatedly


Ya- are you wondering where this title will take you? No don’t worry I promise you this will not be one of those bitching moments, but rather one of those “light bulb” moments. And that line is just so appropriate on many day to day activities. 

I have been slacking off recently on this blog ( I know my famous excuse) but honestly my life hasn't been that interesting. I moved back home, found a fantastic job- met so many new people, had to leave the job – found another fantastic job and is now riding that boat. Yea as much as this may sound like a fairy tale it really wasn't. It was like a mud run in a rain forest during the rainy season- except its not mud- but like poop. 

Yea smelly actually.

But a friend once said “always find that silver lining”. Well I think I found mine.

People come in and out of your life for various reasons, some go and some stay, some go only to come back. But you find that one person, that one person who when opens up to you and starts sharing their life experience: you STOP in SHOCK and STARE in AWE because it’s the same damn story that you are living.

You think how is it possible that you find this person, on this day who tells you, your story, but its theirs? And the more you listen to it, the more answers you have- to THEIR problem. It’s like the thriller you watch and you go “ No no NO you don’t go in to the dark room to check out what that noise is- OF COURSE IT’S THE KILLER!” The more you listen the more solutions you have to their problems. But wait isn't this YOUR story. It cannot be.

But it can be.

I believe that this is fates way of telling you “listen you foolish unintelligent waste of human brain cells goon; wake up and smell the coffee sunshine, life aint waiting around for your brown ass to wake up and stop feeling sorry for yourself." Basically its fate’s way of giving you a wake up call to tell you it’s your moment to put forth your dreams and desires.

So this year- go out and DO IT< LIVE IT<TASTE IT- everything that YOU wanted to do. There truly aren't many second chances life gives you. You just have to find them on your own.

    I meant to comment on this long ago, but never too late! Meeting people with similar stories happen a lot, and you usually try to help them avoid the same mistakes you did...well because you know exaclty how the story ended and how it will eventually end for them..but honestly you cannot. We all want to experience failure. Why? because we all live by the hope of succeeding where others have failed. you don't learn a good and unforgettable lesson from others' experiences, you learn it from your own. Happy New Year Habibi! and may this year bring us many meaningful failures that will teach us great lessons! Arriraaam to life ;)

Suit pants and long hours

Yes I know I know. My posts are scarce as a hen's teeth but don't worry I will try to write as much as I possibly can. I am still trying to find this work life balance thing that everyone is talking about. But not to worry, it will come with time. Its been more than a month since I have stepped in to the world of suit pants and long hours. I have learnt a few tit bits that I thought could be used by most of us with .. basically a life. 1. Everyone says it but, mate could not say it enough- Make MISTAKES! I made one crucial error first two weeks in to the job (yes worse than poop) but hey now I wont do it again. This is the only way to truly learn. 2. Work with friends not with co-workers- Its tough I know and sometimes you have to draw the line. No, I dont know!

The question of the semester- "oh.. you're graduating in May? so whats the plan after that?" OH MY GOD! JUST STOP! I DON'T KNOW! I mean I would like to know obviously, but I don't. And I'm telling my self that its ok. Its ok to not know what you are going to do, you still have five more months... right? Four years ago, I had a plan. Well of course it had to be altered depending on my interests and the economy. But I had a plan of where I needed to be in four years.
